I have never heard of such a thing. I'm sure it was just old age.

Who told you it was because of the frogs? I don't believe it either. So your fish was a betta? I had a betta named Flame and he died at about seven months of me having him. You can never really tell how old a fish is when you get it unless it's a baby.

That's just silly.  I've never heard of such a thing.  I've kept bettas with frogs many times and the bettas never died any quicker than my bettas who lived without the frogs.
