I /could/ put a website together now, but it would likely have very little on it ATM. It'd either be a tumblr or like, a webs. page or something. Not sure. I mean, it'd give us bare bones to work off.

I suppose length and duration depends on what our lives get like... haha. My boyfriend works in Toronto, so likely we won't be moving anytime soon. I hope to make hamsters a life-long hobby and include my eventual children (under supervision of course) in advocacy, care, and handling.

So long as we have hamsters, I want it to run. Mika is younger than me too, which means that she may find herself having more free time than I do, so that will be helpful, if for some reason I'm very busy (ie. just had a baby :P) and she needs to help carry a bit more of the load.

I want to bring in a third permanent person, and I feel Alyzimm might be the best option for that. Though she doesn't live in Ontario, she can help coordinate things in the US. If we find ourselves branching into the US more, changing it to maybe the ECHA (East Coast Hamster Association) may even be good.

Wix is supposed to be very simple to use :) I haven't used it personally, but that's what my bf used to create our site and online store. It's free until you want to buy a domain name.

Yes! I've used Wix before and it's really easy to use! I would love to help, or answer questions about wix!

Hubby and I have several domains, so that wouldn't be a problem for us. I think he'd just want to make me make said website before buying a domain. He bought me on once when he had some deluded idea that I'd be making hamster care youtube videos (I'm not nearly that dedicated to youtube, and I hate video editing) but the one for Strong Brew worked well.

I'll see what I can throw together in a couple weeks :)

Well Well, updates on our logo situation!

I went on a variety of sites I frequent and made some messages out to a few artsy friends of mine.

I haven't heard back just yet, but I've got a good feeling one of them can help us craft up a logo !!

Any ideas on what it should look like? I'm planning to discuss it with the artist when it's decided who

will be commissioning this, but wanted to get some suggestions from you all ahead of time as well!

This has also been posted in the Facebook page, so please feel free to respond to either you choose!

I was actually thinking about the logo too! Although my art wouldn't be good for this XD I was thinking a black banded Syrian would do well, I'm not sure...

That's the hope! And the Northern States. Just some way we can bring hamster lovers together, and help educate the public :)

I'm thinking of maybe a globe with the five species of hamsters piled on it. Then on the globe, a line connecting Ontario and the East Coast for ECHA?
