hamham13 That puppy mill poem is so sad. Such a shame that so many mills exist in our countries. So lovely to see people who encourage adopting. There are so many animals out there in need of loving, forever homes and are overlooked because of pet shop impulses. Please don't breed or buy while shelter animals die ashamed.gif

Puppy Mill

by:hamsterlover33

day after day i sit and i lay

every day, every month, every year

i feel death coming even more near

i sit here almost completely lame

i sit with a number for a name

this cage is a disgrace i think “get me out of this place”

its cold and its dark no one pays attain to my bark,

this floor is wire and dirt i cant stand up it hurts,

i have no food and my water is dirty

I'm begging you ‘’get me out of here in a hurry’’

who is my master?

where is my home?

all i am is skin and bone.

can some one save me please, I'm covered in fleas.

i’m cut and i’m bleeding love is all i’m needing

please save me, i’m here all day and all night

please bring me somewhere, where its bright

i promise ill be good ill do what i should

and ill always be by your side.

is this the life?

the life it should be?

is this the life god wanted for me?

so help me please don't stand still

and get me out of this place called a puppy mill.

Great Post! One question though, If you rescue an animal its obviously an awesome  thing to do. But if the animal came from a pet shop and mill then they would have bad genes and perhaps diseases too. Wouldn't they?
