Well, the person could have a certain area to work in. If they are only good in cats, then they work for cats. Same ofr every animal. If they want to work for all, then they can

most people won't go out of their way to study pages of info on the internet and normally in any store workers change areas to work in maybe they could make a Brief info sheet that is correct (good food, cages, bedding, ETC.)

So I wouldn't expect corporate to do much, other than perhaps a "we're sorry, here's a coupon."

A coupon, you say? Discounts! Maybe I should complain about a near by store and get a coupon. -winks-

I know I'm late but LOL anyways :P I called KFC corporate and complained about a manager outright insulting me (long story short, I returned soggy food and she was amazed I wouldn't eat it), they were like "here's some coupons for a free side." Oh bribery lol. (I still haven't used those coupons.)

It really depends on the store, as the Petsmart in my area has perfectly nice staff, and the Syrians are separate.

That's horrible. I would be infuriated.

I definitely take some sort of action, either towards the individual store or the corporation. I doubt they would even care, though. I notice when people leave complaints on Petco\Petsmart facebook pages, they simply answer a monotonous: "Hello, sorry you were not satisfied with our store. Please email us at soandso@email.com." It doesn't feel genuine, and who knows if any action was taken towards it. Did you question him on where he got that knowledge when he said that to you? I wonder what he would have answered. Sadly, most chain stores sell animals with little to no training whatsoever. I remember when I got my first hamster, a Petco associate sold her to us with a Crittertail kit, I remember it was around the evening when they were closing, so she probably wanted to get us out of there.

Sometimes I eavesdrop on conversations associates give to customers and laugh to myself.

PS: Your Chinese Hamster is GORGEOUS! I love her coloration! Where did you get her?

I'm sorry, I had to laugh at how misinformed that worker was. XS

I mean, that is TOTALLY a LOT of space for a hamster. Especially the wheel, it's only 5 in. And the hamster is like 6 or even 8 inches. Plus, who wants to pay $12 on some hard, sturdy, bin when you can pay $50 for a cheaply made, very small, hamster cage. I mean, it's only 1440 in. for nearly the equivalent of $50. Pfft

LOL!!! I told one of the Pet smart people I was getting a hamster with that tank when I had Kandy, and they were saying stuff similar to that. The employee walks by us and gives me the evil eye like I killed her sister or something.

PETSMART ROCKS!!! *Cough, cough NOT!* :fryingpan: <- That's me when I see them again!

I have heard of the people at PetSmart saying these things. And they are responsible for all of their animal deaths which a lot from there die every day. And they know nothing. Tanks are fine and the hamster don't chew at the stuff on the side, even if they did they wouldn't be able to get it off, and it doesn't have the best veneration, but it kind of does. They just mean that air gets trapped in corners and it can get kind of stuffy in them, but tank are perfectly fine for any animal to live in, most at least. And that guy need to take a chill pill, and no one I think will want their health benefit thingy. I think you made a perfect choice though, and I hope you and your hamster are very happy! :)

So sorry for the delyaed reply!!!!

I like my local petco way better than this petsmart. Petco i actually starting to believe is a better chain. They are a little sumb with small animals,, but make up for it by being much more intelligent in all other sections. Where petsmart is only good in the small animal setcion but is horrible at everything else.
