Hi!

 

I just wanted to check with the members here that there aren't any shops in Singapore selling the Oxbow Healthy Handfuls for hamsters right? I've never seen it around but I just wanted to check if maybe the pet shops in other areas of Singapore actually carry this.

Nope, i have never seen any shops selling it in sg. But i did see plc selling them in msia, kl, but it was rm25? Abit overpriced if u asked me, and i wont wanna take that chance of my hams rejecting it. Not feasible to buy long term too.

I did write in to oxbow to see if they plan to bring it to sg, but i got a thanks for ur suggestion blah blah. Maybe if more ppl wrote in they might in the future?..

OH! i just heard from the little flower pet shop at serangoon north that they have made orders for the oxbow food! but the shipment will come only in 2-3 mths time.. so gonna be patient, but its finally coming to sg!!!

 

usually its harry hamster and supreme science and just today i mixed in some vitakraft emotion beauty, vitakraft probiotic pellets, beaphar, carefresh complete menu. majority of the corn and peas are picked out, but i do like to leave some in for them as a treat. and also other organic grains and seeds like buckwheat, barley, oats, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, millet, wheatgerm etc

 

i like to give them a large variety to choose from, rather than eating the same food all the time. can u imagine i have hams who have been with me since they were 1 mth old and for the past yr they have been eating the same boring food :/. 

 

they also get a probiotics gel once a day, and a colostrum+probiotc mix once a week. and of course, i try to feed them veggies at least 2-3 times a week, mainly spinach, carrots, french beans, or any dark leafy greens. and fruits like blueberries or apples are fed mayb once every 2 weeks.

 

im also trying to get colloidal sliver to add to their water bottle for a better overall health.

Ooh yay they are bringing it in!! I can wait 3+ months. Not planning to get a hamster soon anyway! Haha

 

Wow that is a LARGE variety! I used to mix food for my hamsters too, I'm sure it gets boring to eat the same thing every day for 2-3 years!

 

I think CS don't need to add to water leh. Can just use it with some powdered food then your hams get the nutrition there already. Cause water will dilute the CS and they don't drink enough to drink up all the CS while it's still good

if not, the online petstore, petsO2.com is also selling it at the same price (introductory offer). they can deliver it to ur hse, but u'll need to spend a min of $40

About 6 weeks more to wait! Cause repainting the whole house next week then we have a wedding going on and i have 2 beds/1 mattress to throw/give away before I can even decide what cage to use! LOL.
