Heh heh, the only "camera" I have is a poor quality tablet :/ And I can't edit to save my life!Oh well, its gotten me 24 subscribers :)

I would get an actual camera, but a good one is expensive, and for the money I would rather give my pets nicer set ups......

Something that bugs me on YouTube is when people go straight into their channel. On their first video they're like "hey everybody it me blank from blank" When I make my channel soon I'm going to do an introduction video so people can get to know me!

My tip is:
Lighting:
Make sure you have good lighting.
That doesn't mean you need to order expensive lights online
just open a window or go outside,
also film during the day for better lighting

One thing I dont reccomend is saying that you;re sorry for something, at the start of nearly all of your videos. I end up turning them oof when they do that, just a pet hate of mine :P

5. Don't get wrapped up in drama from other channels or people. I personally suggest keeping all comments on "approve" to prevent this.

I really like this one. Even if someone is being rude on some channel, I would stay away from trying to bash them for being rude. Some people are just being rude back when they tell them things like "That's the rudest thing I've heard, get a life." That's just as rude as saying something like "horrible channel." Sure you're trying to help, but it doesn't help. It just starts a huge fight. And if you see people fighting just step out. There's no need to have people being rude to you, too. If people are being rude on your channel just delete their comments and forget about it.

I am definitely not an expert when it comes to this but here we go...

No.1
Audio
I for one think that audio is the most important part of the video. I think that clear speaking (that's loud but not so loud that I have burst eardrums! :D) is very encouraging and there should be no - to very little - background noises. Especially TV. I get really distracted when I am trying to listen to what the person has to say but sponge bobs on in the background (not hating on sponge bob of course! ). It's very annoying for the viewer to try and listen and most of the time you will get distracted and lose your thought bubble.

No.2
Quality
Of course I'm not saying you have to have an expensive camera to do great videos on YouTube. This is mainly focused on editing and lighting. For me editing is a very big part of a good video. If you have a fun intro and can cut out unwanted clips then you have yourself a decent video (to make it good or better read no.3) I get discouraged to watch a video that is completely raw. Also if you decide to make a video then make sure you have a good filming spot. Lighting is the main thing for me considering quality and if you are filming in the middle of the night - chances are I won't be able to see a thing!

No 3.
Content
Of course without good content a video is just not a video that makes much sense. Of course make whatever type of videos you will never tire of and always be yourself but remember that your video has to be worth watching. If it's informational and has all the right facts - you will be gaining a lot of views!

:/ I can't edit! I have no editing system.

But my tip:

  1. Be semi consistent with your videos. I've had people unsubscribe me because I changed my channel from a model horse channel to a small pet channel. If you can, have two youtubes!

i have one.

Make sure your grammar and language is appropriate for your audience. For example if you are a pet channel then you will most likely have younger audiances (not all though) so you would not cuss (To be honest i dont think cussing is nessasary in any videos)

Also try to sound enthusiastic! not lik you are forced. If you don't want to do a video because you are sick, Dont do it. Youtube is meant to be fun not something like a chore you hate doing

I'm starting a YouTube soon so my only tip that I haven't seen here is; Don't judge people. Maybe they don't have good info, but maybe they didn't have access to it or know about HH. Maybe they don't have good quality, but maybe money's tight. Maybe there bigger or thinspo skinny, but maybe that's just who they are. My point is, don't judge or assume anything. Because do you know why or how? Probably not. Nobody likes a "judger".

I would say to film what YOU want, do lots of research, spend time on your videos - don't rush them, and most importantly, have fun! I've been on YouTube for a long time now, but I've only just now made a channel! I also think it's important not to go around asking for subs and for people to check out your videos - it only puts people off! :)

Saying that, if anyone has any links I'd love to check our your channels! :)
