What are some cool YouTube video ideas? If you want to share ideas, or want to get input from other members on what videos to make, post here!

 

Please read this disclaimer/note from a previous thread in which people felt that their ideas were being taken:

 

Note: There are many different ideas for YouTube videos out there, and many people who create these videos, some of which come from this very forum! These ideas and videos have been so inspiring that it’s made others want to try their hand at it too. This does not mean it is competition, but rather a compliment!

 

While it is true that an idea or title can not be claimed individually, we strongly encourage each member (Youtube'ers or not) to be creative and come up with their own ideas. For those who are inspired and want to make their own version of work, I encourage you to put as much of your personality and “flavor” into it as possible, that way everyone can feel a sense of pride in what they put out for the community. If you want, you could also give a shout out to the person who inspired you. This might keep YouTube (and the forum) a friendlier place where people don’t feel their hard work has been taken and used. However, outright plagiarism exhibited on the forum will be flagged and possibly removed. Please respect and follow basic copyright laws.

 

Lastly, since we cannot stop someone from creating a video that is similar to our own, we have to learn to let go. Do the best work on your own video, and don’t bother worrying about what other people are doing. That way, the video is truly yours, even if the idea or subject matter is borrowed.

You can name your you tube channel after your hamster like Blazeshamstercare or just Blaze the Blazin hamster. I wouldn't do something like Thebesthamsteradvise or hamstercareadvise just because sometimes your information can be bad.

I did read it, before I posted, to make sure. It says if you got it from someone else (which you did, the titles are exactly the same, I double checked) then at least give the person credit.

Hey guys!

 

I trust the conversation about this issue has come to an end now? As stated in tinypixie's quoted post, we do encourage all members to come up with their own creative titles and videos, but ideas can not be claimed by one person only. There are tons of videos like this on Youtube by other people, not just the person mentioned. I would suggest that whoever uses these ideas either credits the correct people for inspiration, or makes sure their video content is very different from what is already out there. However, anyone is free to film on topics that have already been covered and it's not violating any copyrights.
