Thank you Ping, I said the same thing but got ignored lol. The only thing I can see is that this particular carrier has stopped selling it for their own reasons. They're still even being sold on the petsmart website.

I'm sorry you were ignored, I kinda neglected this thread and skimmed through it and saw your post apologies!

I feel so bad because my first hamster had a tiny cage and soft wood bedding :( the petshop told us it was the best and I was only 7. My hammies now have 300 square inch bin cages each. (2 hammies) rosy used to have a second bin cage but she's 2 now and couldn't make it up the tubes :(. She sleeps alot though. And I'm buying Oreo some habitrail ovo stuff this Christmas to add on to his. :) I feel awful though because I've owned 10 hamster in the past who had softwood bedding and small cages with like no toys :,( I cry about it all the time but I just don't know! I wish people who worked in pets shops knew more about the <super> animals that they sell! R.I.P snowy, dinky, herbie, nibbles, kiwi, Tilly, mini Mercedes, Gucci, mojo, and my baby popcorn <3 I'm so sorry I never knew what hammies needed x

I've never even heard of that cage... that is appalling. I'm glad at least one seller stopped, although we have a LONG way to go.

I tried to talk to my pet store once about a dangerous product (one of the Planet Petco bridges; my hamster, a fully grown Syrian, had half of his body slip through it and got stuck. I hate to imagine what would have happened if I hadn't been there and watching) and they didn't even seem to understand what I was talking about. Petco's customer service is going downhill fast... :(

We've done well HH can we attempt CritterTrails next? Or is their company to big to try? We could at least see if they will make CritterTrails bigger so that they meet the 360 sq. inch minimum? I think we could do it, we just have to say no no to these cages a lot until they go big or go home. Lol! We can do it! We are HH! ( just a pep talk )

Excellent pep talk. :)

I've always said, and will say it now, that education is the way to go. Tell people not to buy- show them the right way to treat their animals. That will have a much larger effect than attacking specific companies. We can't wipe out small cages unless people stop buying them.
