So he makes these weird hiccup/sneezing sounds, they sound more like hiccups, and if I pet him they go away, I use CareFresh Ultra bedding, I noticed this mayyybe yesterday/two days ago, it only happened maybe once a day for 1-2 minutes since about two days ago...
Sound and looks just like this hamster (NOTE:not my hamster, I have a Chinese)
He is about three months old :)

My Syrian also does this. When he's sleeping and when he's cleaning. I have the same bedding too! O.o (just relating to your problem, idk why he's sneezing/hiccuping either :(

I got your PM.

In the video the hamster does seem to have the hiccups. Now what exactly is Chewy doing and where is he when he is doing this?
My robo, Bones, makes an odd sort of sound when she is nervous that could sound like hiccuping if I didn't know better.
Oh and is it occasional or something he seems to do rather consistently?

I'm curious about this too, Smokey seems to be doing the exact same thing.

My syrian did some hiccuping sounds when he got a cold. Do you notice any difference in his eyes? Any "eye goo" (dont know the english term, sorry) or extra liquid?

Simi&Chewy shared this video with me via PM: http://www.flickr.com/photos/81258108@N06/7444923468/in/photostream
It's her hamster, making the sound she is asking about.

Did you recently switch to the CF Ultra or has it recently been a new bag? Does he only do this when he is in or near the bedding or even outside of his cage?
And if you hold him up near your ear do you hear anything while he breathes?

I've always used carefresh ultra, the bag I'm using is pretty much empty.
I bought a new one yesterday but I haven't used any of it yet, he doesn't do it when I hold him, but if I hold him near my ear he make a quiet squeaking noise, almost like a mouse it's cute, he doesn't always do it though
He's sitting in the corner of his cage eating his foot right now it's adorable :D
Should I buy a new bedding when I run out of this kind?

Also sorry about my brother in the backround "SHE-SHE-SHE-SHE-SHE-SHE-SH-OAAAAGGGHHHH"

Maybe the bedding is just dusty since the bedding is from the bottom of the bag?

I went back and read your recent post about the fur around Chewy's
whiskers, and how it seemed to be thinning. we talked about the
possibility of this meaning his eye was running because constant
wetness against fur causes fur loss. could this somehow be
connected?

I don't think so, it's not thin anymore, my mom thinks I just need to leave him alone for a while...
