Hi guys! I need some help. I want my hamster to run around but not to get lost and I mean other than a hamsterball. How can I make a homemade hamster playpen with as less used items please because I don't want to buy it.

Thanks.

I use the bath for my hamster, Cinnamon! So do other people round the forum!
Just lay a towel down that will fit the bath and add a couple of your hammies favourite toys!
It's nice and big and free!

you could use a shower, large storage bin or make a ring out of books or something. :-)

I'd use a ring of books but i don;t want them to get ruined :)

You could use a large bin. :)

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't have any.

EDIT: I attempted to make it out of 2 cereal boxes together but... he was able to climb out. What a fully grown 5 month hamster. :scratchchin:

The bathtub is a good idea, a big cardboard box or two attached together is a good idea (but you have to supervise your hamster. They will chew it and get out eventually), a large storage bin is also agood idea,

A member here- Lillas- made a homemade- foldable playpen using some small sheets of corrugated plastic, Velcro, and tape (coroplast playpen) can't really hunt it down for you right now. Maybe later today I'll try to find it :) but it is somewhere in the supplies and accessories forum. You can also search 'coroplast playpen' in the search engine and you'll probably find it. It was made in December and the title is, 'coroplast playpen'

You could personal message the 'creator' of the playpen, Lillas, any questions you have.

Hope I helped :)
