The best hamster treats are natural and whole foods, like vegetables and unprocessed meats. For syrians, your list of foods is a lot longer compared to dwarfs, as they are not prone to diabetes. To name a few vegetables, I would recommend kale or broccoli due to their deep green color, they are highly nutritious, and hamsters love them. Cooked and unseasoned chicken, hard boiled egg white, cooked whole wheat pasta, sweet almonds (human grade), peanuts, hazelnuts, low fat cereals (IE plain Cheerios, bran flakes), and unprocessed cheese are just a few of the many options. You should be feeding fresh foods on a weekly basis already, however. But things like fruits and low-fat plain yogurt can be given as a seldom treat to your hamster.

Things like yogurt drops and store-bought hamster "granola bars" are often packed with unhealthy and processed materials that aren't the best. If you choose to feed these to your hamster, please feed them sparingly. I wouldn't recommend anymore than 1-3 yogurt drops a month, and one hamster granola bar per year, in all honesty.

Here are two topics on this site that will give you some ideas for "fresh" treats, not store bought ones. Try How much to give, and Hamster Food List

And check out the website Cookin' for Lucy for some cool ideas that look great!
