Just started Andy McNabs Dark Winter. Getting back into crime/thriller stuff after 5 or so years reading dark/urban fantasy books.

I've just finished Brisingr and now I'm excited to start Inheritance.
Next on my list is I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore, My Year of Meats by Ruth L. Ozeki (for school :( ), and the latest Riordan book The Son of Neptune. My sister got me hooked on them when I promised her that I'd read them if she did (she's not much into reading, but she's getting there. She's discovered Narnia now too).

SO JELLY.

I can't even start Eldest, because I am pretty sure my mom got it for me for Christmas.
My life is ruined. My friend bought me Inheritance for Christmas.

My mom almost died when I asked her I wanted a book for Christmas.
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY DAUGHTER.
Kind of died.

Oh, heh.
And to keep this on topic. I read a magazine today. ;D Heh. *claps*

I totally tried to read Eragon when I was like fourteen or so, and my brain was having absolutely none of it. It must've taken a good four or five months for me to finish it, and I can remember parts of it, but really, it was a total hassle at the time. I was torn between wanting to throw it out the window, and the determination to complete it. BUT THEN AGAIN, the same thing happened when I tried to read Philippa Gregory's The Other Boleyn Girl, and I read that again this past summer, and it was sooooo good this time around.

I've heard such good things about Eragon. I'm thinking that I should probably give it another shot, hm?

As for right now though, I'm immersed in The Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It took me ages to find it in the library, and I saw it the other week and snatched it up immediately. It's brilliant.

Right now I'm reading Ruth L. Ozeki's My Year of Meats. It's for school.

Next on my list is The Big Year by Mark Obmascik.

Yes indeed. :3 His writing gets better with each book, ending in some of my now favourite writing in the fourth. <3

I just started reading Sundancer by Shelley Peterson ... it's not really my type of book, but it's my friends favorite book and she reaaaallly wanted me to read it too,and since she agreed to read my favorite book, Marcelo in the Real World, a couple months ago, I agreed I'd read one of hers too.
Tough thing is, I just bought I Am the Messenger today and I really can't wait to start it! I don't like reading two books at a time and I promised my friend I would read Sundancer right away... but I will be soooo tempted to start my other book... oh well.. /:

I just finished The Big Year (the book about obsession and birds) a little while ago. I've been meaning to start reading the book that inspired the 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movies, On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers. I have several other books literally sitting in a pile in my room waiting to be read. :P

Okay, well I just checked this "famous" book out of the library about an hour ago, but I have read the first two chapters so far.

TITLE: THe Hunger Games
AUTHOR: Suzanne Collins
GENRE: Science Fiction
COMMENTS: I haven't gotten very far yet, but I can tell you now that I like it already! (i don't love it yet though). I'm excited to continue with the book. I haven't seen the movie, but I have seen the trailer and I just want to say this: I think Gale is DEFINITELY hotter than Peeta! :D
