Well like you said, hes a male and all male hamsters have these testicles, commonly known as "big butts". Usually, ones on syrians are more noticeable than on other hamsters.

He's probably just being a boy and letting it all hang out.

Hi Everyone,

My syrian hamster is 1 yr 8mths now. His testicle is very huge(4 times bigger than the picture shown). At 1st I thought it was a tumor, so I went to vet and doctor said it is testicle and he do nothing to it. But now I noticed its testicle are becoming shaggy. His feet can even step on its testicle(inconvient in walking n squading down) I m becoming worried for him.. He just went for a tumor surgery on its chest area on Last Thursday. And there were stitches on its body but now it was gone. I wonder do I need to stitch it back? There was no blood but wound.

I'd take him back to the vets ^^ I wouldn't try to stitch it yourself.

I was worried about my new hammie too as he has a butt that's protruding, I thought it was a tumour. Glad to know it's nothing serious *X*
