I found a group on Facebook that explained how PETA took the killing of Tim Mclean, to make a point.
The group supplied a website I will not post.

Why?
Well because it talks about the killing, and how it was done.
I do not think it's appropriate at all for HH, and if anyone has heard of the killing PLEASE do not post anything that would not be appropriate.
Because, the man who did it was the sickest man I have ever heard of...
It happened in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, I think about 2 weeks ago.
And that is about a 5 hour drive from here. You want to know how scared that makes me feel?
I have to hear about and deal with this kind of stuff everyday. My city alone has sick and twisted people like this man was...Whatever sentence he gets is too good for him...
I regret reading it in the newspaper. I cried.
It was horrifying to know there are people out there like that...

I give my heart out to Tim's family, and to the passangers on the Grey Hound bus--because let's face it, who would want to see such a thing?
Horrible...Poor man.

Anyways.
I will post this, in quote of what I'm trying to get accross:

This tragic incident will certainly leave scars on the minds of the other passengers and the victim's family and friends. While it isn't every day that a human is violently attacked and [phrase removed], it's worth noting that it is the norm for many people not to give any thought to the fact that restaurants are serving flesh that comes from innocents who were minding their own business before someone came after them with a knife. How amazingly and conveniently compartmentalized the human mind is…

To stress this very point, PETA will be running an ad in the Portage Daily Graphic comparing the similarities between this bus [killing] and the acts of cruelty and killing performed every day by the meat industry.

How could you exploit this?
This is wrong.
I think it was horrible of them to use this man's death as an example of what happens to animals.
There is no point to make accross that.

I hate how people think that way...Animals deserve respect, yes, but the way this was done and handled was MORE unethical and inhumain than that done to animals.

This thread is NOT meant to start a fight, I do not care if you agree or disagree, I want there to be no attacking of anyone.
If you disagree, then calmly explain why, in a possitive matter. I muchly realize there are people who are going disagree--great! Everyone loves a little debate but please, do not get fiesty. As soon as things get out of hand I will ask for it to be closed.

I do not want this to get out of hand, but I thought it would be important to let you know what is going on in this cherished organization some of you love.

I'm sorry in advance, but I am totally TOTALLY disgusted in this, and I can't believe they would think of doing this...
Keep in mind they had NO permission from Mclean's family to have this done.
They had no right, and his family should have all the support in the world to have them sued.

End of story.

Thanks for reading, and again please no bashing. :)
And once more, this already is enough information about what actually happened, PLEASE do not post anymore info on it.

Please keep in mind how important this is, and don't judge me and think I am an animal cruelty inflicter, because I'm not.
I may not known Tim, but hearing about things like this, you'd have to be pretty cold hearted not to be saddened about this..

Just give your thoughts please.
I would love to know what some of you think!

OOOOH
I heard about this on the news.
I nearly puked.
Omg.
I totally agree with what you said.
They didn't need to do THAT to get PETA's point across.
(Fyi,I don't like peta,either.)
Its just sick.
I know animals deserve respect, but did they have to do THIS?
Thats going to scar people on that bus for the rest of there lives.
They won't look at another human the same way again.
Odds are,they will need counseling.

Is this about the guy on a bus who stabbed a man to death for no reason?

Yeah.
and the man who did it had no connection to Tim at all, and infact I believe I remember reading something about him saying he had never seen Tim before in his life. :/

It's pretty sad, and sick that people have the intention to do such a thing...

Totally out of order

To have this tragedy hijacked to further PETA's agenda is wrong, they should have the same respect for human life as they allegedly have for animals, I am shocked and appalled...

I agree.

For the way they put things in their statement, it certainly flared objection and major arguments on a few things I've looked into.
When, why shouldn't it?
I'm so glad people are coming to realize the main objective to this organization; trying to prove they are right and no one else's proof/opinions matter.

I'm just waiting for this to be a big news cast. :)

...What?

Why is that wrong? NO ONE likes PETA because of stupid rumors, etc., and they need to bring attention to animal cruelty. They didn't 'exploit' Tim Mclean. People exploit animals all the time - and you're disgusted because PETA is comparing animals to humans? Wow. No offense but that's insane. O_o

I don't think they should compare his death to anything- whether it be another human or a animal- because its disrepectful to Tim.

but techinally we're all animals, we're mammals, so i think people should treat "animals" with repect and not abuse them. put yourself in their place.

:sarcastic: whaatever. petakills or whatever is obviously fake. no offense but it's just ridiculous you think that's true! It was made by people like you guys, who don't like PETA because of dumb reasons.
there's nothing wrong with comparing ONE human death to MILLIONS of cow or pig or whatever deaths. Think.about.it.

Okay, well explain this to me:

YOU think that everything said wrongly and something you don't agree with about PETA is NOT true, yet everything good and perfect about them being the world's saviours is perfectly true you belive it. That makes no sense.

Bottom line: What they did was WRONG. I don't care what anyone else says. It was pure exploitation.
There is something wrong with it. Think about how YOU would have felt if it was someone you knew. You can't tell me you wouldn't be willing to sue them for what they did, without permission.

I think you need to create your own opinion, instead of saying what they told you to say.
