Pepper is a nerd like me. LEGOS! (:
He really liked mini-cereal boxes when he was a pup. Now he is too fat! :veryhappy:

A good one for the hamster that loves to burrow:
step one: make sure you have something like an igloo or a small sleeper
step two: Get extra bedding and cover the igloo/sleeper
step three: fill the inside of the sleeper
step four: add a hamster
This toy works better if you use a bend-a-bridge rather than an igloo... cover it and cover all entrances. Tweek had a blast burrowing through the "burrow"!

I just would like to warn you sawdust is not good for hamsters. Sand is safe but dust isn't because hamsters can get respiratory problems very easily.

I agree with momjii Sawdust isn't very good but instead you could rip up toilet paper (as it's safe) and it would be fun digging in there!

what i do is make a summer house, bascially i get an empty cardboard box add stuff like a old soft toy they chew on that and use the middle for bedding. Place tubes, if you have a similar thing to pockets add them and create a sort of sand pit inside, it sounds a bit much and difficult buts it's not also hide food inside! They will love the summer house, as Spiderman and Mr.Hamster love it more than there actual cage!!! Posted Image Posted Image

I figured out a quick and easy way to make a dumbbell toy for any kind of pet. I guess they could be any size as well, really. So, this is to make a medium sized one, which would be about...8 1/2 inches long.
Get the supplies below:
- One toilet paper roll (No toilet paper should be left on it!)
- Once blank piece of printer paper
- Scissors
- One popsicle stick (the more normal sized ones, not the giganto ones)
- Some kind of hard, small pieces of food (pellets work well, also small treats)
- One-two of your pets favourite, smelliest treats
And your set to go!

First of all, take your scissors and cut your paper in half. Then take your toilet paper roll, and cut this in half. Make sure you cut your roll in half so it's still like a tube, just really short. Okay, then you want to get half of your roll, and half of your paper, and wrap the paper around the roll, so there are about 2 or more inches of paper sticking out from your roll. Then, take one end of the paper sticking off the roll, and twist it, so the end is firmly closed. Once you've done this, stick some food in it. One fill it about half way, so your pet can still shake it around. Do the same with your other half. Then get your popsicle stick. Shove it into the toilet paper rolls on both sides so a few inches of it are still out of it. Sorry my instructing aren't very good! Maybe showing you this quick drawing I made will help:

As you can see, the pet can have loads of pet playing with the toy. Feel free to ask questions, since I didn't really manage to explain this well. Also, you can always re-use the popsicle stick after the toy is broken. And keep in mind, if the pet likes the food inside, he or she will destory it, most likely.
