The mice are extremely unhealthy.
There was one, that I adopted (Mimi <3)
She had a brain tumor and they were just letting her die.
She would have died very quickly, but I brought her home and gave her the best two weeks of her life.

^Not all PetCos are horrible.
Maybe your location is.
Mine takes gr8 care of all their animals.
Like I said, just because a few are like that, doesn't mean they all are.
Mine's very nice. ;)

That could be a management/employee confusion. It happens in ALL STORES in one form or another. I don't work in any petstore (I work in a small family owned grocery) but some crouton bag had a hole in it (there was a PIN sticking out of the bag so I knew). I stuck a note on it and stuck it over for a manager to take care of it. It wasn't a grocery item but a bakery item... and the bakery work had all gone home for the day. Since it wasn't a normal item I could not run it back to spoils, the bakery keeps track of things that they throw out and wouldn't be happy if something just went missing without being accounted for. It got stuck back on the shelf for some reason. I'm thinking another employee came over in the morning and put it up while doing a scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt is what my management calls running around the store looking for completely out of place items and putting unspoiled returns away. But I think the note fell off and someone accidently put it away.OMG Petco sucks...
They sold me a bag of hamster food today with a "wrip" (workers actual spelling)... and I didn't even know! The note was at the bottom of the bag, covering the rip up... why would I ever look there when shopping?
