Well, for those people who don't have yards in their homes, cremation is the only best option. In the place where I live, even our own human deceased, do not have the luxury of a permanent grave.... our own deceased are dug up to be cremated after a certain number of years.

Those who had the luxury of owning a yard is indeed lucky, that they live in a place where there's plenty of land they can afford.

*sigh* I dont know how to deal with my hams when they die...

When my hammies died, i will bring them to the "Mount Pleasant clinic @ Serangoon North, S'pore for cremation service.

They charge about $30. You can choose to collect back their ashes too, with extra cost.

at least they are with other pets, after they die...

I am not so fortunate, my parents bring my hamsters to trash collection centre downstairs when my hamsters :hamster1: :hamster2: passed away. They don't believe in burying dead hamsters and cremation them. Sad Sad. :guilty:

Will bring my hamster/s to Serangoon North should they passed away....

all my old hammies have been buried in the garden, we put a paving stone over the grave and usually buy a plant to put on their grave as well. like when our first ever hamster died, Holly, she was buried in the front garden and we bought her a rose bush. i remember crying a lot when we moved house because we had to leave her behind (i was about 9 at the time) but mummy reassured me that she wasnt really there anymore, she was in heaven or 'rainbow bridge'. All our other deceased pets have been buried apart from the chickens which get cremated in a really big bonfire.

Well, my first hammy, Snickers, was euthanized, so I didn't have to deal with putting him in a box and such. My vet got a small white box, filled it up with a pile of paper towels, and placed Snickers on top.

We have a pretty good sized backyard, so I buried him under a tree that grows these little white flowers, and they drop off and land on his grave. It's very pretty.

My friend had her hammy cremated, and she didn't keep the ashes. Instead, she bought this mossaic stepping stone, put her hammy's name on it, and put it in her backyard.

I think Creamation would be the best cause no lil' whipper snapper would go dig it up or if you moved and you had your pet burried in the backyard or something, you wouldn't have to leave the site forever. I guess thier are pet cemeteries in Saskatoon. I don't know about other places though.

Hmm what my friend did was she went to those remote part of the beaches in singapore and bury them deep in the sand. I went several times with her and the palces we usually go are:
East Coast Beach(near fort road or the one very close to the airport)
Changi Beach(there´s a remote location after the SAF ferry terminal. its near Changi ferry terminal i think)

And these are the places i can think of which is remote in singapore.
Sembawang Park
Marina Park
Singapore Expo(there is this huge tree around there. u can bury it there)
Lower Pierce Reservoir(got park there quite remote)
Upper Pierce Reservoir(got park there quite remote)
Seletar Reservoir(got park there quite remote)
BKE exit at mandai road keep right 1st bus stop(can bury there by the tree. very nice view of the reservoir)

Lot's of people bury them in there backyards  .Also if you don't want to bury them you can take him/her to the vet and they'll take care of them.Hamsters normal life span is 2-5 years. But sometimes it depends on there breed i think :scratchchin: .I hope this helps :shy: .
