Gerbils' backs never curve no matter small the wheel is, but they tend to run with their heads pointed up which is uncomfortable and their tails forced over the back which is also uncomfortable. Example:

my gerbil its kinda small, also he uses little the wheel,Im not joining gerbil forum since probably I will not get any other gerbil in 5-6 years, only hamsters, and maybe a bearded dragon (I already joined a reptile forum) also, that wheel looks like a 5 inch wheel, not 6.5 inch wheel that it’s like 2.5 centimeters longer, and for gerbils it may be bestIt's too small for an adult gerbil unfortunately. Most adult gerbils need at least 11 inches but the bigger the better for gerbils due to their tails. A small adult may be ok with 9/10 inches. I have some really small 4 month old females and they had an 8 inch until recently but it was getting cramped for them and they are much happier with their new 11 inch wheel.

Well, it's up to you but gerbils love big wheels as they can run much more freely, and they tend to use them more. So if you can fit a bigger one I'd recommend it.
It probably is a smaller wheel in the photo but it's just an example of how it looks when a gerbil uses a wheel that's too small. I've seen gerbils run like that on bigger wheels too.

what post? Can you explain me what you said?
Basically I just said that as long as the back isn’t curving it’s fine, but I actually learnt that gerbils backs won’t curve, even on a small wheel!
Just a mistake haha
