Hamsters have been marketed as cute and cuddly for pretty much their entire existence in captivity, which I think a lot of younger girls tend to float to, more then say a snake or tarantula.


It’s the same thing for reptiles, although it’s changing very rapidly the reptile community started out and is still arguably majorly men. Snakes and lizard have been a masculine thing for a long time as a societal thing.


Now, does that mean it is all men or all women? No, it does not.
