I’m asking this on here since the gerbil forum seems to be (mostly) people from Europe. Normally, I feed eggs and Pluto robins gourmet food, but her shop has shut down. Are there any other good, high variety mixes that aren’t too expensive? At the moment I’ve been feeding them Higgins sunburst which is fine, but not great, and I’d like to find a better food for them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can't find a gerbil-specific mix, a good quality hamster food should be fine for them. I've fed my gerbils dwarf hamster food in the past (and they also regularly get fed my dwarf's food - and vice versa - when I can't find their own tin of food).

As far as I know, there isn't much a difference between gerbil and hamster food, they are both very close on the family trees. I think you could buy hamster food for them.

Hammypals is still open on Etsy, I really like the German food but it's not a bad price if you only need some. The only thing not so great is the price of shipping. It ships from Singapore and it does take a while to get to the US. =/

I've tried some other mixes on Etsy but I didn't particularly like the ingredients or I felt like most of the mix was pellets instead of seeds.

Shop is back open if you'd like to order again! If you need it to be rushed leave a note when you order and I'd be more than happy to get it out to you sooner. So sorry for the mix up.

Thank you! I’ll order soon. I hope everything’s going good for you and keeping the shop open isn’t too much of a struggle :)
