My dog, who was named Nellie passed away last night. She was a very good Boston Terrier. Of course she was kind of lazy, and always ran away with the ball when we played fetch, but she was really good. She passed away on a road trip and we had to take her to an emergency vet but it was too late.
She was alright all day, but she was unusually tired. She didn't greet my relatives at all which she normally would and went to sleep under a chair for a while. We went to go get some food, and I got chicken. We went to go play tennis and brought my dog with us, and we went back to our car after a while. The bag from our food still had the chicken in it. She went to go get the chicken out of the bag, and my mom pulled her up off of the floor (gently) and then my dog choked. My mom tried to get the food out of her mouth, but she bit down hard on my mom's hand because she didn't know my mom was trying to help her, and we think she had a seizure. Then she was just gone. There was nothing we could do, just gone. She'll be forever missed, and she lived for 10 years. She was such a good dog and was here since I was a little kid.
