Hey
I know this is a weird place for this question but I need help

So today I picked up a couple of Chinese praying mantises.
I’ve owned this species before so I know the basics.
I’ve only ever kept these on paper towels but I’m curious- what is a safe age to move them to something like eco earth for substrate? They hunt wingless fruit flies off the ground so I’d assume maybe once they’re on a food such as crickets that I can tong feed to them?
Also I’m curious- if it okay to keep them on the same dresser as my aquarium? It has a HOB filter that creates a bit of vibration and I’m worried it will stress out the mantids. I currently have them on my desk (and have no problem with them remaining there) but I’m just curious.

Thanks!
