i recently got 4 black neon tetras and 4 neon tetras to go into my 10-gallon tank with my betta and snail. everything is going great the betta has not shown any signs of aggression towards the tetra. but i did notice that the 2 kinds of tetra like to stay apart in their groups just mingling sometimes. the worker at the pet store I got them at said that they would school together which after going more research on the fish I found out is not true. so, what should I do? should I get 2 more black neon tetra and 2 more neon tetra so that they can have schools, or would that be to many fish for the tank? I'm new to owning tetras and not sure what would be best. any advice would be great. i also believe that the store sold me 3 females and 1 male neon tetra what should i do about this? do i have to separate them or can I leave them in the same tank? and I have just noticed that one of the neon tetras is chasing the others around and it is a female. could this be because of the stress from not having a large enough school?
