Hi!

That is a lot of mice in a really rather small enclosure.

I would personally recommend a minimum of 400-450 sq in. for two mice, then per mouse add 150-200 sq inches per mouse. Mice are incredibly active. (As much and more so than hamsters.)

I also saw that you posted about mice smells, that size of cage will cause a build up of smell, and depending on your ventilation an ammonia buildup.

Bin cages are a great option If you're worried about cost, I built a 650 sq inch bin cage for my newest male mouse for about 30 dollars. In this cage he can have enough substrate and climbing room. Their is also a lot of ways to keep mice really cheaply, most toys can be made from materials around your house. Emiology has a really good owning mice on a budget video.

Hope this helps.

350 SQ inches is not much space at all for mice... One male maybe, but definitely not three/four females.

With a cage this small you're going to bump into issues with smell, lack of adequate enrichment and some very frustrated mice that might start to self harm out of boredom... And that's just scratching the surface of the problems that come with having too small of a cage...

I watched the video already, and I am using a bin cage. I have this sized bin for my hamster and was planning on getting the same size for mice. Also, I read the mesurmeants wrong on it. It's a 465 sq inch bin. I could get this one instead if that's better. (660 sq inches I believe) How many female mice could it comfortably fit?

I did the math wrong, it's actually 465 square inches, lol.

Hi,

I would say for a 660 sq inch bin you would be best with 3 mice in it. Any more than three would be a bit crammed, mice are incredibly active and constantly exploring. I have a very similar bin for my lone male mouse.

If your interested, I really like Creek valley critters when it comes to mice content.
