Lately, I've been having horrible luck with animals. In October of '21 I had a Syrian (Rigatoni) who died unexpectedly, I'm still not 100% on how that happened. In January of '22, I lost my Syrian Biggie Cheese, he was from a pet store and was constantly in and out of the vets, I had him the longest, but I don't think he was the oldest, he would have been 2 in April or May. I suspect he had a stroke. I had a Chinchilla (Miso) who died by vet malpractice at two years old in February, unexpected and probably what hurt the most. I took her to the vet to make sure she didn't ingest any of the wood from her chew toy she had been working on, they manhandled her, and after they took her for X-rays, she collapsed and died in the back, she was healthy otherwise. Possum (my female Syrian) followed the rest of them the last week of February, she was full grown when I got her and died at atleast 2, if not older. I have their ashes in cherry wood boxes lining the top of my bookshelf headboard, along with their ceramic paw prints. I get Possums back this Thursday. I have 1 hamster and 2 chinchillas remaining and I am paranoid that something will happen to them.

It is a sucky situation but I'd try not to think too hard about it being 'bad luck' or anything. I also have issues like that - one guinea pig has bad bumblefoot, my dog was diagnosed w/ kidney disease and UTI, and my cat wouldn't eat for 3 days. I spent $1000 on all of them over a week. That's just what happens when you have multiple animals unfortunately.
