I just found an injured wild mouse in my bathroom who is missing the end of his tail and has a broken leg, i know he likely wont make it but does anyone have any advice?? I have a spare hamster cage I can put him in but hes currently in a hamster carrier cage, I only have hamster food mixes and dont know what is suitable for a mouse.

Best bet is to contact a local wildlife rehab and see if they can take it in. At least that is what I would do in the USA.

Take him to an emergency small animal vet. Till now, put him in a small enclosure, perhaps a travel cage, with a thin layer of paper towel. Maybe give him a small water and food bowl (hamster food should be fine short term).

I’ll try and get him to a vets but I’m not sure if I can afford the emergency fee, I’m not sure if he’d be able to wait until tomorrow. I’ll set up some food and water for him, my smallest cage outside a travel one is 75x45cm I’m not sure if thats too big to put him in? I also have a lot of spare hamster bedding if thatd be okay for him but if not I can use a paper towel

You don’t want him injuring himself further, so I’d suggest the travel carrier (as long as it’s big enough for him to walk around in a little and to have a food/water bowl-if not, the small cage can work). It’s the same thing with bedding, you don’t want him burrowing with a broken leg. You could give him some tissues or a little bedding for a nest, but I wouldn’t put in a burrowing amount. At the very least call the vet to ask how much of an emergency it’ll be and what the fee is-some vets will offer emergency advice or discounts (when I had to call the emergency vet for my hamster they told me how to tell when it was a life or death situation and how to keep her comfortable, etc.). Does he have open wounds? Can you attatch photos?

The emergency vet consultantation fee near me is £240, unfortunately hes currently having spasms and what looks like difficulty breathing and I do not think he will make it, he is displaying similar symptoms to when my last hamster passed away. He has an maybe open tail wound but no other ones. He might be in shock or maybe has another injury that I can’t see.

Do you have anyone who could come help you? Ultimately a vet is going to have to charge you, maybe if you know it needs to be pts, you could have a vet do that for a lower price. It just depends on the vet and if they are willing to treat a wild animal.
