So I know where and how to change it, but when I find a picture and upload the copy I saved, it says must be under 50kB. Then I saw someone with the exact same picture from Google! So the point is, how do I get a picture under 50kB?
That would be the size of the image. If you can link the image, I can resize it for you

It's fine, I know it's all really complicated sometimes
The siggy is your signature. It's that space beneath your post where you can put whatever you want (typically a banner or a note or something). Mine has a banner, and a couple interests, plus a link to my photography blog. You can access it by editing your profile.
Also, I hope you don't mind, but a quick tip. When you make a post in response to someone else, hit the "Quote" button on the bottom right hand corner of their post and they will get a notification that you responded to them

How do you change the profile picture?
Go to your profile and then hit "Edit my profile."
You'll see it right away
