Hi guys, I was thinking of upgrading my hamster's wheel to something larger - I currently have a 7-inch flying saucer, which I realize is too small for an adult Syrian hamster. However, I'm not interested in breaking the bank.  :twocents: I want to DIY it! Does anybody have a good idea for a safe wheel that is large enough for a Syrian hamster, that stands up to the test of time? I would prefer not to do it with power tools.  :veryhappy:

If power tools are a no go, it might be best to just invest in a quality wheel, especially if you plan to own hamsters or other animals such as mice in the future :)

I know wheels can be extremely expensive here in Canada, but you may be able to find some good ones second hand on fb marketplace or kjijiji :)

Niteangel, Exotic Nutrition are both good wheel brands that you can either get on USA amazon, CA amazon or directly from the website (for exotic nutrtion)

You'll want a wheel of at least 11" or so :)
