Hey again! I'm looking for some Christmas ideas for my gerbils :)

I have little stockings for them (I do this for all my pets) and I want to put cute diy toys or treats in them. Any ideas? As for cage decorating... I'm open to diy but I'd also like to buy Christmas things off shops as well. What do you suggest?

For my gerbils (not specifically Christmas), I like to get a small tissue box (you could get one with a Christmas theme color scheme) and fill it with tissues, treats, bedding, hay, chews, whatever. :)

I don't really know much about gerbils, but if you enjoy buying Christmas items from the store PetSmart has a holiday line that includes quite a few small animal items, which can be found here. I believe Petco is beginning to release small pet items as well. :)

Oh that's a cute idea! I read somewhere else that you could also make little candy looking toys. You just roll up some treats in toilet paper and tie off the ends to make it look like a little candy :)

Oh yes! I actually bought some willow balls for my chinchillas and thought they'd be a cute Christmas decoration for my gerbils. Gerbils and hamster can actually have most of them same chews, toys, and materials. I actually wanted to post this on the supplies page but I didn't know if I could lol

I found this super cute idea- so petsmart has these red + green willow balls in a four pack, you can string them on a safe type of string and then hang them!

You can also take some coloured napkins and shred them to use as a bedding.

I know Rosewood naturals has a lot of Christmas themed items so perhaps check them out- I know they're a UK based brand but you might be able to find them on amazon.

Toilet paper/paper towel tubes are great- you can cut each end and then fill it with hay, treats, etc and then twist each end off so then it looks like a Christmas cracker!

For decorating the outside of the cage, garlands, lights and stickers are always nice :)

I was thinking of making stockings out of paper and filling them with hay, treats, chews etc. I think the tissue box and cracker ideas are great too. Willow/seagrass balls always go down well with gerbils. My gerbils like the hanging toys with lots of things to chew on them (like this) and once the original chews are gone, you can refill it with bits of cardboard etc.

ooh, I've seen some cute christmas pudding willow balls for gerbils, most petshops have xmas themed toys

also you could put fairy lights, tinsel or decorations on the front of their cage!
