I don't really have any advice other than to keep posting good content.

Take MK for example, she's had a YouTube channel for a year and she has 80 subscribers. Not saying that's bad, but you have ten which is actually really good, considering you only had your channel for a month!

Consider making a better intro, thumbnail, YouTube banner, etc. All these are really important for catching the viewers attention. Ask yourself what makes a channel interesting and what makes you want to subscribe and like? A posting schedule can also help

Is your username interesting? If not you can change it. Even your profile picture, how about a photo of Tae? Cuteness can attract people to your channel, no joke.

Two great YouTube channels by HH members are linked below.

Take a look at Victoria Raechels channel for example. Why do you like it? Why do you subscribe? Answering these question can really help you make a better channel.

Sometimes, if you are just staring a channel, it can be good to not make super long videos all of the time. From looking at your channel, I think it is something I might watch. Camera quality can also be rly important! Maybe change your username to something more hamster ish, if you want to. Or as fluffy said, a pic of Tae as your profile might draw people’s attention. Making rly specific content is also good bc when people look up “cute hamster” your videos might pop up, tho only if they are titled like that. Then maybe the person will like your content and sub!

Hope this helps and I couldn’t sub :(

It's Jellie, and she's now somewhat inactive :)

I've had my channel (randomally, linked in signature) for ~4 months now and I currently have almost 100 subscribers and most of that can be credited towards taking in what your audience likes and creating more of that.

For example, I found out that cage tours and shorts often did better than educational videos, so I try to make more of those.

Adding on, having a good camera, videography skills and editing skills are all things that can help a lot IMO. Of course the latter two will improve with more experience, but it's still good to have these. I find myself often not being drawn to some channels despite liking their topics (eg hamster care) but their video quality, lighting, etc is not appealing. I'm not going to call out specific channels as obviously that would be extremely rude, but some things that often are the culprit include shakiness, bad lighting, blurry camera, etc.

If you plan to continue your channel for a longer time I suggest investing in a gimbal (you can get them for $10 cheap on amazon) to help with shakiness and overall smooth video taking as well as a better light source (again, cheap ring lights off amazon work fine).

Promoting your channel to a certain extent will also help. Posting about it on other websites (like you alreayd do here), opening an instagram for your youtube account, reminding people to subscribe in the video, telling your family and friends about it, etc will all help.

Having a good posting schedule is also very important. Sticking to a regular schedule (most people, including myself, post once a week) can help with the hype of a new video. When you have more subscribers, using the premiere mode can also work. Without regular postings, many people will often unsubscribe if they don't enjoy your channel enough because it's not as interesting to rewatch old videos you've already watched. But if your content is helpful to people it is still possible to gain subscribers when you're inactive: take Sophia and her hamster for example, she's gained more than 75 subscribers without posting because her videos are well edited, have good camera work, and are appealing to their audience.

I have more to say but I'll edit it later when I have more time: i'm in class

Oh, and Nibbles, if you'd like specific help/tips for your youtube  channel regarding what I've dicussed I can help with some constructive critism here if you want! (Or PMs if you'd rather it be private :))

If you're looking for a good editor, capcut, kapwing, clipchamp and windows 10 free video editor are all decent free ones that are good for starting out with as they're simple to use! :valentine:

I think it's fine

you should work on your camera work

also the intro, i don't really think it's good because people with photographing sesitivity (idk what it's called) exist, y'know? I am sensitive to to fast moving things and flashing lights and the intro hurt my eyeballs xD

(no offence)
