Hello!

So I'm not going to get too into this, but I sometimes see a family member's ( Who lives extremely close by ), two cats, and gosh they are adorable. Anyhow, according to Google they're pretty fond of me based off their behavior when I saw them yesterday, ( I've seen them quite a few times now as I sometimes have a reason to go, excluding just seeing the cats ). And I have made several efforts in the past to approach them/pet them should I feel that they are comfortable. In the past they just sniffed me and ignored me/let me pet them. I don't think they've ever run away from me, though.

This honestly isn't very important but I'm still really curious, so do any of you guys know what type of affectionate behaviors cats show, as well as what the following ( That I've witnessed from the cats ), could mean?

- Coming from after a nap to me to stretch/groom/literally just sit

- Come from behind me when I'm standing and kind of wind their body around my ankles, rubbing their tails on me

- Walking around me time to time in semi-circles

- Sleeps in a sideways position beside you ( Meaning, it kind of gets on his side so you can see his belly.... fur )

- Keep glancing in long sessions at me right before going to sleep, should I be near them

Etc

Thanks :goodvibes:

You'e right, some behaviours Smokey shows when he's being affectionate are

  • Rubbing heads
  • Licking and grooming you
  • Lying on his belly
  • Purring
  • Coming up from behind and rubbing his tail on me

Hope I could help :goodvibes:
