I'm not gonna really ask any questions here, just share my experience.
Last night I went to feed Oreo (if you haven't picked up on this because it is rabbit sub forum, Oreo is a bunny) and it took her a little bit to even come to eat her pellets (usually she would bolt over to you to eat food). Then, about 2 hours later we tried to give her a treat and she wouldn't take it. I noticed when I was trying to give her the treat that she was lethargic and she peed where she was sitting and didn't move. She hasn't had an accident since she was litter trained (other than before I was educated and she had a tiny corner litter box and would pee with her but of the edge of the litter box), so it was really weird. We (as in my family and I) called the vet, and thank gosh the vet that takes small animals was still in the office because the only emergency vet that has a vet that takes rabbit has had 12 hour waits for emergency visits in the past few days. At the vet she got sub q fluids and some medications (gas medicine, pain medicine). Last night was a long night because I had to wake up every few hours to give her some medicine. My parents let me stay home from school today because I only got like 1 hour of sleep last night and I have to give her medicine. She has been eating hay and pooping. Her poops have been misshapen and darker than normal, but that is kind of expected. She drank some water and I gave her half a leaf of lettuce just to make sure she is eating. She is hoping around like normal, and is getting better. We are hoping she continues to do well.
We don't know what caused it. She could have chewed on the carpet and swallowed some fiber, gotten to much fur in her system, or anything really. She hasn't had any new foods recently either. Anyways, my dad has been really nice with this whole thing going on. He got me M&Ms last night when I got home from the vet and today he took me to get some donuts (Side note- our grocery store put out the fall flavored donuts and I love them!!! I had a glazed apple donut).
