Feeding raw cuts and meat??!?

I put on gloves and washed the chicken like I would do for myself. We went outside on the concrete, and I held it for her.
For the first few moments she just played with it and threw it around(note: Yes the foot was raw)and gently chewed it. Then when I stopped holding it she went and sat down and went to town on it.
This happened within 5 minutes, of having it and had never had raw before. She ate ALL of it.
So my question is was this the right thing to do? Can I continue adding raw cuts? How many should I add to her food? Should I stick to the local pet store freeze dried ones or buy raw ones?

I would cook them first, I'm not sure if it is safe to feed them raw :0
Lol, just realized you meant dogs......

From my knowledge (I could be very wrong) it's unsafe to feed raw meat to hamsters. The meat needs to be cooked and plain. Of course, I might be wrong, please correct me if I am.
Lol, sorry, I originally thought this was for hamsters, but raw meat is safe for dogs. Primal Pack is a really good youtube channel that explains raw feeding dogs and other aspects of dog nutrition.

You do not want to feed any cooked bones. Ignore that suggestion; cooked bones can splinter, cause blockages, and can be a choking hazard.
It is fine to give raw, freeze dried (which is still a raw product-- just shelf stable), or dehydrated chicken feet. You can keep giving her chicken feet as a treat as often as once a day. Think about it like a mid-day or late-night snack rather than as a part of any meal.
I personally prefer purchasing FD raw from pet stores instead of straight raw from the butcher, but that's just me personally. Theres no wrong choice. I just don't have the time or patience to prep personally.
It's fine to give raw as treats, but it is a pain in the butt to DIY raw food, and puts your dog at risk of having an unbalanced diet. I would stick to kibble or purchase commercial raw from the pet store if that is what you intend to feed for the main diet.

I'm pretty sure it's unadvisable to wash raw meat- this can increase the spread of bacterias and cause more harm ![]()
I'd go with commercial raw rather than DIYing it for a more balanced diet

No need to wash them- for the dog or yourself. Washing chicken has been shown to be more harmful than not.
My dog also loves raw chicken feet. They're fine to feed in moderation. I use them as supplemental chews/treats. Both freeze dried or raw are fine, but you may find raw to be more economical.
Remember this is a supplement to her normal diet, so treat it as you would any other chew or treats. Too many raw parts can interfere with the balance of her normal diet.

Never EVER feed cooked bones of any kind to a dog, especially not chicken bones. This is extremely dangerous. Cooked bones splinter and can cause serious internal injury and even death.
