Two of my two platy are sick (there used to be 5).

Symptoms and fact file

First platy Goldy

Sticking near the filter

Age

Second platy Polly

What I'm planning on doing

I’m sorry about your fish. It can be brought on due to bad water quality (i.e. ammonia, nitrites, high nitrates). Try doing a large water change on the main tank . Oh and vacuum the gravel good or clean whatever substrate you have. I’ve had platies do that before even when my water quality was fine then they died 2 days later.. Sometimes they come from poor genetic stock, or overbreeding even. Are you able to join Fishlore forums? The helpful and knowledgeable members there can help a lot with sick livebearers. I hope they make it! :(

What are your pH gH nitrates ect? Can you share a pic of your tank? What other fish do you have? Salt is not needed inless there us a wound, I'd about the male but the female might be a swim bladder. Some times the humane way is to (kill) them, never do it without researchING if you have to or doing it, some ways are inhumane.
