I do not plan on having Duprasi anytime in the near future, however you never know in the next 10-15 years...

I was wondering, what is the average lifespan for Duprasi fat tailed gerbils? Many sources on the internet will say 5-7 years, however apparently some European breeders will say it is more like 2-4 years? Does anyone have any experience with their lifespans?

I'm pretty sure 7 years is the max but i guess like anything there will be a range dependant on breeding and what the original stock that they came from longevity was and I assume this could differ by country.

This is quite a good resource.

Thank you everyone, this is all really interesting! I have had a quick glance over both the links, but I’m going to sit down and read them thoroughly later on. :)
