Currently I have a syrian hamster.

In the future (at least 1.5 years) I want two guinea pigs, they are so cute imo. In my current room I have 150x60 cm of space. Would it be good for housing two guinea pigs?

It seems like you would have enough room for a 60 inch by 30 inch cage, that size is pretty common, would you be able to make a cage that size? I have my two bonded boys in that size cage and it is a pretty good size for them I gotta say!

Like LBD said, I would go on a guinea pig forum. I mean I did do a bit of research on guinea pig care, but I do not feel comfortable telling others about it as I never had guinea pigs as pets myself so I don't want to give out information that might be outdated, false, or not accurate. A guinea pig forum is better :)

I my gosh I know loads about guinea pigs I was going to get one but instead we got a hamster. Your cage is big enough. Though if your room is not dangerous to guinea pigs you could let them free roam or you could get a pen for them to live in and let them out while you are watching.

In the future, yes I can. Currently I have a 128x60 cage (external size) it fits very well, only downside is it's near of my bed

I'll check guinea pig forums later, thank you  :reading:

That forum is excellent. I’m not a member but there’s a lot of good reading. I have for the most part followed helpful IG accounts or YouTube channels and started copying much of their care. Guineas are amazing animals. So charming in pairs. Mine are female btw. I know you can add more females but I’m likely just keeping it at Just 2. They seem very bonded. But I still consider that the minimum number requirements for keeping sows. So the more the better probably. They can be quite happy in herds!
