Please, we're not trying to be rude, but you're IGNORING his basic needs. If I left you in a room without any way of communication with other humans, no othe rpeople, and no computer/phone, it'd be the same as leaving your bun alone. You're neglecting his basic needs. please, please PLEASE bond him soon or see if you can rehome him to someone that can give him what he NEEDS.

I find it shocking that you would tell a person with feelings that they should give away their rabbit because rhat person will not do what you want them to. I am not neglecting my rabbit at all or depriving him of his basic needs.

hello. I am not ignoring you at all I just feel as if you are pushing your opinion on me. It is not a fact that rabbits must be in pairs. I am not trying to be selfish and I’m sorry if it is coming off as that. I find it very harsh that you said that I shouldn’t have gotten him and upsetting that you think I’m neglecting him. That is not true at all. My rabbit is happy alone. Sorry if I sound rude I’m just trying to be stern.

I already apologised, not enough? I know I’m horrible, terrible, make everyone upset. If you don’t like when people are harsh to you why are you being harsh to me? Sure, whatever, I don’t matter. I understand. Why do people keep reminding me?

Why don't we just stop this argument?

The OP has already decided to not pair their rabbit at this moment and that is their choice. And it has been made known that the majority of people here recommend pairing. There is no need for both sides to keep responding since we already know both opinions and I don't think arguing will change one. No one here should feel super bad for anything they have said, we all learn and grow~ (This isn't directed to shame either side, my response should be neutral) 

Let's try to solve the original issue a different way if we can

Maybe you should express your feelings in a nicer way. I find it shocking that you would tell a person with feelings (Ally) that you find it shocking that you would tell a person... etc.

 

Perhaps something like “I understand you have concerns for animals, but I still feel a bit upset that you suggested I should give away my rabbit. I am not intentionally neglecting my rabbit, sorry if it seems that way, I’ll try to do better!”  

 

I don’t think Ally was intending to come of as rudely as it may appear to you. 
 

edit: I posted this before I saw Tater’s post, I agree and I think let’s just leave it here before it develops into a drama. I think Ally should be allowed to say her view too, but I’m not going to reply anymore as it’s just unnecessary.

I don’t want to make you upset but I can’t just forgive you like that. You don’t have to have an attitude. I can’t just let you say those things and not respond. Don’t get mad at me for defending myself. Sorry if I’m hurting your feelings.

Hi! So in my bathroom there is a small crack in the paint. Well my bunny found it and now he has been ripping at the paint and eating it. How do I bunny proof it? If course I don’t want him eating paint and I also don’t want a huge crack in the paint in my bathroom. Please help! Thanks

 

Hi! I know I'm quite late, has your bunny stopped chewing yet? I recommend re-painting or patching the crack so that it it flush with the rest of the wall, so your rabbit will have nothing to grab at with their teeth. My rabbits do this as well, and the only way I was able to prevent it is by making sure the wall is smooth, or putting up a temporary wire/mesh protectant, like a playpen against the wall. You could also make a DIY anti-chew spray, which is 50% water+50% vinegar or use apple cider vinegar if the chewing persists. I hope this helps!

 

btw, bonding is totally your own decision. Rabbits can be fine on their own, like Lennon The Bunny for example. Don't feel pressured to bond your rabbit with another if they're/you're not ready.

I agree with Tater here, but in regards to rabbit pairs in general (not to any one person, I really hope I don't star another argument, apologies if I offend), if one asks a question on anything and gets an answer, no matter how presented, I say its worth another check. Where did you get sources? What makes you come to XYZ conclusion? For example, on YT you only get one side of the story, one opinion, and you only see what the Youtubers want you to see. No hate to Lennon The Bunny ot anyone who keeps there buns alone, but for all videos its going to happen, especially with care videos or opinion videos.

 

Anyways, I'm not trying to shame anyone, or say something was good or bad. Just saying this, in general for all situations, a lot of things are opinion, and if you get a lot of other opinions maybe you should do a bit more research or re-evaluate. Just like a new HHer coming on, asking, say, idk, 'My hamster keeps sneezing'. People will respond, what bedding do you use-they say Pine. Members say that pine is unsafe. New member says thier pass hamsters were fine with it and the pet store uses it.

 

Again, not trying to all anyone out, just saying you can be right, you can be wrong, and to always keep an open mind

I haven’t personally tried this myself on a wall, but when my bunny was chewing at my baseboards, I used clear packing tape on them, and that completely solved my problem! I don’t know if you want to go sticking tape all over your walls, but in the problem areas, it could help. Also, I’m sorry people are being so mean to you on this post, I know you take amazing care of your bun, and he’s very loved. Hope this helps!
