Info about my cat

age: 16

species: cat, mixed breeds

problem: We have a lot of heat mats and grow lights in our basement. Our cat likes to sit on our plants and sit below a big grow light. Is this safe for her to do?? She also likes to sit on the heat mats. She has been doing this for very long periods of time for the past week or so. She is still eating and drinking normally. She has also been in that room way longer than she usually does. Is this safe for her to do for long periods of time??

I believe it should be okay as long as the heat pads are not burning hot and just warm. Someone else might have a different opinion though.  :)

I think so. I mean a cat, just like any other animal will move away from somewhere they feel uncomfortable in right?

yeah and she can easily get away from the lights. So I know it feels good, but I am unsure if it will cause inflammation ect.

It's just the same as them sleeping in a patch of sunlight. If they get too warm, they'll move away.
