hello!

i'm going to be redoing odyssey's setup soon, so I wanted to know if I should buy anything to add. I know it's a hamster forum and I'm usually the one answering bunny questions on here...but anyway. She has a 8.5 sq ft cage that she's only in at nighttime for 8 hours tops, and during the day she's in her ~30 sq ft pen. She free-roams the first floor for about 3 hours a day.

In her cage she's got a fleece cage liner covering the entire bottom. On one side she has a 11" by 25" cardboard hideout with two entrances. Under her hideout she has a bed. On top there's a fleece blanket folded into 6, a willow stick, 1 stuffed animal and a pillow.

On the other side is her litter box and hay, I have a DIY hayrack and I use KCC on top of yesterday's news cat litter. In the middle section she has her water and food bowls, a stacking cup and a cardboard chew. On the cage bars, there's a baby key ring and hanging ball with a bell in it.

The cage is in her pen. Flooring is foam mats covered with towels. In the pen there's a cardboard box hideout with brown packing paper inside, and a towel on top for when she sits up top. There's an applewood stick, and a few willow toys. There's a C&C grid hideout on the other side, with a ramp leading up to it and a bed underneath with towels and fleece layered on top. She has stacking cups, tp tubes with treat hay in them, a diggy mat with herbs sprinkled on it and a ball.

thanks if you answer! i don't have pics cuz im on my computer..so yeah thanks anyway though! <3

Hello! :)

Is there any reason why you cage her at night instead of leaving her in the pen? I’d also try giving her a bit more free-roaming time each day. Other than that, the actual contents of her cage/pen sound really good. :)

My parents won't let her out during the night because 1- my mom is terrified of her and hates her 2- they think she's going to escape and 3- the locaction of her pen/cage is near the back door, and during the night we have the back door blinds closed, which she can chew but I don't bunny proof since they're always out of her reach when she is in the pen. If I could I would let her out all night/day but my parents dont allow.

3 hours is usually what she gets on minimum, usually 2 hours before school, 1 hours during lunch hour and 1-5 hours after school depending on the day. Weekends shes allowed to free roam wheneve

I don’t really have too many big tips, but a few toys that you could add that my bunny has really enjoyed are; the tunnel Haven from 101 Rabbits, TokiHut Foraging mat, TokiHut castles, and a diggy box with a rabbit safe substrate, so that they can express their natural digging behaviors (somewhere else than your carpet lol). Lemme know if you try any of them! :D

unfortunately though they are sold in canada it's very expensive :( I'm not willing to pay $70 for a maze haven, and all the tokihut/binkybunny stuff is so expensive here!

I have a diggy box of a cardboard hideout with packing paper- it's the only thing she won't pee on, if I use anything else she treats it as a nother litterbox, lol

btw I just realized I know you from YT! I've been watching you for a while, haha

Oh sorry about that, 101 rabbits is based here in the us, so i totally didn’t realize how expensive it would be to get it shipped to Canada. It might take some diy skill (that I definitely don’t have lol) , but you might be able to make a diy version of some of her stuff if you were super dedicated to those specific products. And omg, you watch my YouTube channel? Thank you so much!
