Hey y'all! I have not been on here in years but I have come back to ask any potential rabbit owners for any recommendations on toys for my rabbit? I'm at a loss for what to get him when he gets bored during the day.

I've tried chew toys in the past and he's never taken an interest in chews that I've seen before. I have not tried cat/baby toys, such as the cups or ring of keys that rabbits often toss around and the balls with bells in them. Do you guys think that he would like/enjoy playing with these? If so, are there any particular ones you recommend?

I do have a couple tunnels around the house and a Cottontail Cottage house that he likes hiding in, but I'm quite limited in terms of ideas of what to get him to play around with.

Another thing is he likes to pee in a spot next to his litter often and I'm not really sure how to stop him from constantly urinating in this one spot. It's a foot from his litter box and he is litter-trained so I'm not really sure why he always pees in this particular spot. There are times where he won't pee in this spot for quite a few days and then it goes back to normal where he's peeing there at least once or twice a day. Do you guys have any tips or advice on how to stop him from peeing here?

I appreciate any replies and thank you all!

I don't have rabbits so I don't know much (ajuniceuhamsters would be an amazing person to ask, she's very educated on bunnies), but I would reccomend getting another rabbit, a spayed/neutered one. I'm sure he would like some louder toys (maybe, depends on the rabbit), and I'm not sure about the peeing thing~

Do get your rabbit neutured if he isn't already. Given that he's under 5 years old, it is safe to do if he's healthy. This should fix the peeing problem and prepare him to get ready for another rabbit.

Rabbits MUST live in pairs minus the odd case (such as mine). Our house rabbits derive from wild European bunnies, which live in groups of 3 or more and are extremeely social. Humans cannot, and will never not replace another bunny. This is most likely why he's bored. HIs social needs aren't getting fufilled by you (a human) so please, contact your local shelter about 'bunny dating'. Try to bond him with another rabbit, preferably female, that is fixed.

also- ring keys and baby stacking cups are great places to start. you can also try willow balls stuffed with treat hay, herbs, etc.
