Hi! So I’ve been seeing this a lot latley and I just wanted to adress, bamboo shrimp should not be kept in anything less then 10 gallons. I’ve been seeing way to many people say they can be housed in a 3 or 5 gallon. Female bamboo shrimp usually get about 4 and a half inches, males 3 and a half or 4. You shouldn’t be putting something that size in a 3 gallon. Bamboo shrimp use there fans to catch particles that come from the filter flow. This can really only be accomplished in a tank with hard water. You can barely have a good hard water filter that would fit in a 3 gallon. 5 gallon maybe but I still wouldn’t. In case you don’t know what a bamboo shrimp is here’s a picture of Sage.
