so my friend just found a bird outside. he wont close his beak, it may be broken. he's not cold or anything. her cat was playing with him, and he was out in the snow. hes full grown. idk wut kind, its not a sparrow or a robin. does anyone have anything to do?! the roads are closed and icy cuz of snow! help!!

Hi. So stay come, as stress won’t help. Don’t touch the bird, unless instructed to by a vet. as this could stress it out even more. Call the vets immediately, they might be able to give you instruction over the phone. Keep me updated

Call a wildlife rehabber. Put him in a small box with air holes and something that will keep him warm tha he cant shred, but avoid at all costs touching him, and DO NOT feed him or give him water. Just keep him warm and safe untill the rehabbers say what to do, and try to identify him. Can you please post an image?

So i looked up birds in  <~where i live~> and the birds that looked closest to what he is are wrens and wood thrushes- he could be one of those? I'll put a link to a picture in like 20 minutes. he's been sleeping in a basket. she's saved and raised a couple of birds before, but that was a robin and a vulture, and their beaks weren't hurt. I think they've called someone about it. i'll update when i know more.

Update: He passed away before they could get him to the vet  :gloomy:
