Feeding them mice and chicks is not a necessity, so I wouldn’t let that deter you from hedgehogs.Oh whew! I kinda want a hedgie but I think I will stick to watching tiktoks of them hehe  :) It’s also essentially no different than feeding them cat food that contains meat: Animals still die either way. I see where you're coming from....... :thumbsup: for me personally though it's hard to buy a chick or mouse and feed it to them.  :crybuckets:

for me personally though it's hard to buy a chick or mouse and feed it to them. :crybuckets


In my opinion animals should never be fed live. It’s stressful for the prey and dangerous for the predator if the prey fights back (bite wounds and such). I think frozen-thawed is pretty standard nowadays and I’m sure that’s what was meant by feeding whole prey. :)
