Tortoises need a decent amount of space - a very large vivarium or tortoise table or other enclosure indoors plus an outdoor enclosure for some species. Not an easy pet by any means.

Congrats! My Grandpa has a tortoise named Jimmy. Just to warn you, they do need a lot of space, and they are expensive pets. But it’s worth it because Jimmy is so cute when he yawns :3

Oof, it’s fine though I have enough money to take care and buy a tortoise :D

What kinda tortoise? Your looking at 1,000 doller start up cost, if not more. If your looking at a sulcata thats a 100 pound adult that lives for 80 years, possibly your whole life. This isn't something to take lightly, and you should starter have a 4 by 4 pen imo. Do you have room for that & larger? You gonna end up using almost an entire normal surburn backyard in 5-10 years time.

i still haven’t done full research because i can’t get another pet until in like 6 months but we do have enough budget for one, we are looking for a tiny tortoise about the size of 7-8 inches if there is any. We were going to go for the Chersobius signatus (I had to search that up for spelling) or other breeds but yeah
