I always have been an animal hoarder :3

Right now, I might not be able to increase any more animals since we have to leave here to go to Korea about this summer? I was just thinking on what animals I can have. Also, I live in a RENTED house so big animals would be a big no no :(

Some stuff about me is that I am not a big reptile fan and underwater animals but any suggestions are welcome!

I want some animal which is pretty low maintenance and doesn't charge up much space (parents)

Does anybody have any animals that goes into these category's?

Of course I can't get another animal right now, but before I get the animal I want to research up to summer and get that animal after I come back from Korea.

Thanks all <3

Oh, You're going to Korea? Thats so cool!

Hm, I really cant think of any low maintenance pets, because I feel like they all have a lot of work to do. But heres what I can think of:

- A hammy

- A betta

- A bird-?

Sorry that's all I can think of :crybuckets:

Betta fishes and Hamsters!

I would consider though lower (not I didn’t say low) maintenance pets than, for example, a bird or rabbit.

Birds aren't allowed in our house which is sad :( we are looking at an apartment which does allow birds but my dad said he will NEVER let out the birds so I don't think I can get them. We already have some fishes so maybe more is fine too :D We are considering a turtle or some kind of reptile but another hammy might not work because my mom says they look like rats..  :yell:

I wanted rabbits so bad but my dad AGAIN said we have to feed them too much salad but thanks all for the replies! Both my parents are kind of leaning to another reptile and they think turtles are cool so I might go with that after summer! thanks for all your options it took me quite a while to choose but I guess I went with turtles! (still not sure)

Birds and rabbits aren’t exactly “low” maintenance, in my opinion :)

My friend has a budgie and she finds it really hard work!

I have rabbits and they are also really hard work! Their diet is mainly hay, not salad. But yes, Meeko and Mimi do adore salad.

Turtles and tortoises are cool pets!

Just out of curiosity but do they really eat hay while pooping? I know it's a weird question but I just heard they did that :)

I haven’t seen my little rabbits do so. But maybe they do... in secret....

Sorry, I can’t really tell you for sure! :)

Tarantula B)

You can't really handle most of them if that's what you are looking for, but they take up little room :)

And females live a long time if you are into long living pets! Males live shorter if you would rather a shorter lifespan.

Just like any animal they need good care of course, but they take up little money and space once you got everything started. Each kind will need different stuff though, I'm currently looking into a Aphonopelma chalcodes! But Tliltocatl albopilosus (Curly hair) is really awesome too!

Yep. That’s why you put hay in/above their litter box. :)

I do that, but still haven’t observed them eating it.

Guess they do it in secret then!
