Ok, this is gonna sound super weird, even coming from me ;3

Can I keep worms in a terrarium thingy (lol don’t know what to call it)?

Can they even be kept in something like this?
Do they have to live in groups?

lol there is all my weird worm questions. I didn’t know where to post this, so hopefully it’s not in the wrong place. Also sorry I have been so inactive, my cousins where in town and I was hanging out with them

I'm pretty sure keeping pet worms is a thing and as burrowing animals I guess a glass tank would work. They need darkness though, so you would need to cover the sides. I think they do live with other worms but I'm not sure whether they have the brain activity to get "lonely". Earthworms eat rotting and decomposing green material and turn it into compost, which is very useful in the garden but not necessarily something you want inside, especially in a bedroom.

You could also look into ant colonies. Ants definitely need to live in colonies since a single worker ant isn't really a single functioning animal. They're more like bits of code in a computer program, which mean nothing alone but work together for a purpose (the protection of the queen and the colony).
