Thoughts?

My mom really wants me to get another axolotl.
I really want to as well.
I could get a 10 gallon tank for an axolotl, but not bigger.
I know that 10 gallons is okay, but more is preferred.
From what I have seen, toothless doesn’t use his whole tank, so I think another would be the same?
He is in a 15 gallon btw.
Do you think an Axolotl would be okay in a 10 gallon tank?

Here are my thoughts, sorry if you don't like them.
I don't mean any offense, I'm sorry if this came off as rude, I don't mean it that way.

Spoiler
Thank you!
I like hearing other’s opinions!
I did some more research.
A 10 gallon is fine, if the nitrate stays below a certain ppm.
(From an Axolotl forum)
He is great in his 15 gallon! He is active (for an axolotl) but stays on one half of his tank.
He is also stunted.

If you decide that's what you want to do, go for it!
I personally treat the ten gallon minimum like the 450 minimum.
Please keep me updated on getting another axolotl!
EDIT: Random question, Did you ever think about housing Toothless and and the new axolotl together? Can you introduse axolotls, or do they have to be together from birth/hatching?

Sorry, I'm not any good at convincing parents. The most effective way I've tried is just being obsessed with getting a pet until they cave. Right now I'm begging for mice. I set up their enclosure and everything and I take care of my pretend mice every day. My parent's think I'm losing my mind, which I probably am. But my dad said "You almost have to get mice now" and I thought I had a solid yes until my mom said "you realize that's exactly what she's trying to do" but it's still the closest I've gotten so yah.

Oof.
My parents hate mice.
My mom would let me, but my dad is hesitant, ugh.
Maybe I can say “you said we could compromise because you said no jumping spider”
He would have to say yes.
