What will happen if I put two solitary ones together? Will they kill each other?

Again depends on the type

Some will die right away upon contact or sight

Some will fight

Some will cry

Etc.

Just don't do it :)

These are my rocks:
IMG-20201213-200646.jpg
They are the "Russian Campbell's" species and are semi- social. they live up to 50 years and are one of the hardest species to keep.

(Jokes aside, these look so much like bolt in certain lightings I think calling this store bought rock RCD is rather suiting)

Will they breed? Will I have to spay/nueter them?

Rock breeding is very hard to do in captivity, and it's not likely they will read unless provided with everything they need which is very hard to get everything perfect.

So in short probably not.

Try to aim for 1,500+ sq inches, as they may not seem very active, but they often become depressed in small enclosures :)

A room to free roam in your house should do, though a couple of acres is more ideal

its sad, but yes, they often have battles to the death, often due to one killing the other’s father. I used to have a large rock and a pebble housed together, and they fought once which resulted in a very bloody death for the poor pebble. I miss him every day :(

Oooo, okay! Do you know which species my rocks are?

They look like the common Speckle Rocks to me! Related to RCD rocks, there easier to care for and generally have different colored speckles. Dalmation rocks are more bumpy and splotchy, but these are great for hamster cages, especially with the size you have :)

I once had a pebble choke my sandstone to death, but some pebbles and larger rocks can safely live together if you have the right species :)

They may kill eachother or develop a bad case of Rock Bottom, which is deadly.

How big should my igneous rock's enclosure be?

They thrive best in warmer climates so they should be at room temperature and have at least 500 sq inches to roam and play.

I disagree with a lot of ^^^^, just to say. If you have opposite genders they may fight or become depressed depending on the species.

A few rare species such as Ornithogalum adseptentrionesvergentulum bond especially well, but most just tolerate eachother. I have seen a few rare cases of Speckle Rocks befriending Hamsters, but they were all from ethical breeders.

If you see cotton lie on them a lot Cotton may like them. If the rocks don't bite they may be friends, but not neccesarily bonded. Its like Rhino's and Birds. They tolerate eachother and work together, but there not best friends. It sounds like they may work together and tolerate eachother, so introducing more rocks may mess up there balance a little if its a larger rock as well. TLDR, sounds like they have a bond, but not friends, if that makes sense. Keep it up! Where did you buy or adopt them?

Wherever they spend the most time may make them use the bathroom there more. Try making that place more comforting by placing there friends there and maybe introducing them to some sand. They don't eat very often-usually you won't need to feed them, too. Some larger ones may eat there smaller companions. I recomend scattering a few herbs/bits of millet/sprays on and around the rocks in case they get hungry. I wouldn't do this if there not being co-habbed with another animal like a hamster so that the food dosen't go to waste if theyre not hungry :)
