Hehe. Well, buddy bit the vet yesterday, peed on my cousin, escaped his old cage many times (and fell 3 feet off the piano every time) he once cut his tail from escaping, hehe.

I had a hamster when I was little, her name was Cheese. She was a female syrian and was always escaping her crittertrail. I got her from the pet store and I didn't take very good care of her, and took the pet stores advice on care. I was pretty young at the time a didn't understand that hamsters didn't like to be awake during the day. I woke her up, took her out, and then she bit me. It didn't even draw blood, but it scared me enough to drop her. She ran underneath the door and I couldn't find her for hours. We found her eventually, but I can't imagine how she got where she was! The bathroom cupboards in that house had a really weird subfloor that you could lift up and there was a big empty space underneath, and that's where we found Cheese.

The first time I lost my hamster my sister found her chasing the cat in her room LOL!!

Um... I well
My first hamster's name was Squishy and we brought him home, put him in his cage, he walked around, and fell asleep.
He slept all day and all night and the next morning I got worried so (even though I wasn't supposed to) I reached in and pet him gently, then I picked up his hide, then I shook him, then I started crying...
Yeah, he didn't make it...
He died the first day we got him-
I'm still traumatized...
I mean we followed all directions, like don't interact with them, let them explore on their own, give them lots of bedding, a big cage, EVERYTHING!!!
And he died before I even got to say hi...
I still am scared that it'll happen to Nugget.
Or what if it was my fault...
Yeah, traumatizing.

My hammy Frizzle escaped once, and he found an unopened bag of higgins sunburst and ripped it open (idk how he even knew it was food! It was sealed) He ran across my hole upstairs, got into cabneits, closets, corners, and left little piles of food EVERYWHERE!!!
At the time, I had Frizzle and Theo, so I let Theo free roam in my bath room. (I hadn't noticed frizzle had escaped yet) I set theo down, he went behind the sink where I couldn't see him, as he came RUNNING out with frizzle chasing him!!!!! It was really funny and frighting, as I had no idea that frizzle had escaped lol

one morning my boyfriend and I were woken up at 7 am to my dad saying he thinks my hamster is in his room so I jumped out of bed and went to my dad's room and sure enough, Fork popped his little head out from under the bed so I scooped him up and took him back to his cage. he escaped because I had put a blanket over half of his cage during the winter and he had pulled a string to pull the whole blanket down and then used it to climb out

I feel terrible about this, but once, I was adjusting a ramp in Cotton's cage, and the ramp kinda HIT cotton, and he kinda fell on his back... HE WAS OKAY BUT ILL NEVER FORGIVE MYSELF

Okay...
My first hammy, Sir Olaf, was bought at petsmart.
He was a male syrian and I gave him a 20 gallon tank, a 6.5 in wheel, 1-2 in of bedding, and plain old pellets...
He escaped the first night I had him, and he was in a closet.
The 3rd day I had him it was afternoon, and I saw he was sleeping uncomfortably.
He was rubbing around his cage, and walking like he was in pain.
I looked at him and there was some blood on his bum...
Since he was from petsmart, I returned him...
And that was the end of Olaf...

Ahhh, my friend has a hamster, which is being abused right in front of me and I can’t say anything.
the hamster is a ww/RCD hybrid but she insists its a purebred WW.
the hamster’s in a 50 sq in. Cage. (SO TINY?!)
there’s only a wheel and food and water inside no hidey or anything.
