Chapter 38

 

~~~~~~~[Biscuit’s POV]~~~~~~~

 

Ari had come back in, and she found Peach, she couldn’t stop crying... and Violet had run away without me.  She’ll come back, my mind keeps telling me. But what if she doesn’t?

 

And now Peach is gone. I wasted so much of my time being sad I wasted my time with her. I might as well get close with her kids, I mean, maybe they’ll remind me of her. 
 

“Hey, Foalan.” I said to her, from across cages. Ours were very close, almost touching, with Nuggets on the other side of her’s. “What?” She said, grumpily. “Are you doing okay?” I asked.

 

”why do you care? To you I’m just another hamster, why does it matter?” She sighed. “All lives are important, and plus, you’re my old friend’s daughter!” I squeaked. “You are more then just “another hamster” to me!”

 

“whatever. I’m fine...” she walked away. I looked over at Dimitri’s cage, which had been moved to right on the other side of me. “Hey, Dimitri. How are you doing?” “Oh, good, besides the fact my mom is dead life isn’t too bad” he shrugged and laughed.

 

”yeah, sorry about that...” I said. “Oh well, what can you do? Well, I guess I could grump around like Foalan... but where’s the fun in that?”

 

”That’s true” I smiled. “So... what do you like to do, like for fun?” He asked. “Oh... well, you can never go wrong with a little wheel running” I chuckled.

 

“Ooh yeah, I love running on my wheel. Just not as much as I love burrowing! Burrowing is so much fun and so worth it too!” he squeaked. “Yeah, haha.” I said. “Hey, listen, I’ll catch up with you later, I think I’m gonna go take a nap.” I squeaked. 
 

“Oh, okay sure!” He smiled. “Talk to you later!” I walked away to my hide. Well, I didn’t think I’d actually get along with him, but I actually did.

Wow, he was actually enjoyable to talk to! Helps keep my mind off the fact that Violet escaped without me before I could even ask her...

Is there anything else to say here? No. I was thinking, this is really a story with no plotline. It’s always changing, like life. That’s why I enjoy writing it so much. I hope you guys have enjoyed the story so far, I try to make the hamsters seem a bit more human like so that you can connect with them more

well I guess I’m not escaping.
 
well why would I? I’m such a proper hamster, I would never behave like that. What came over me?
 
Mom would be so disappointed her son behaves like this. She’s over the rainbow bridge, she can probably hear my thoughts and see what I’m doing! 

she’s with me every footstep, every thought, and I will not disgrace you mom! I will be the true, perfect hamster! I promise that to you, it’s what you deserve after birthing me and taking care of me! I WILL BE PERFECT!

 

~~~~~~~[Biscuit’s POV]~~~~~~~

I watch as Dimitri mentally screams at himself, I’m bored to death. where is Violet? She’s coming back right? It’s been days. Maybe she isn’t the person I thought she was… which is weird. I guess it’s time to move on without her.
 

wait… what if she’s in danger? 
 

~~~~~~~[Violet’s POV]~~~~~~~

 

this hole is dirty, leaky, and disgusting. “I’VE BEEN WAITING DAYS BISCUIT, COME ON!” I scream, but no reply. I guess he wasn’t the hamster I thought he was. Can people I trusted that <baddie>. What was I thinking, love at first sight? I’mma <fuzzy teddy-bear>ing idiot.

 

~~~~~~~[Nugget’s POV]~~~~~~~

Has everyone else already forgotten about mom? That wonderful hamster that raised me and gave me a amazing life? That hamster that was so sweet and was friends with everyone? EVERYONE’S FORGOTTEN HER?

 

Well I can’t forget! Every day I miss her a little bit more AND I CAN’T STAND IT! Why can none of these hamsters relate? Do I have too much sympathy? Am I just overly sensitive? Why don’t they care!

 

~~~~~~~[Mango’s POV]~~~~~~~~

 

I watch as Foalan paces her cage whining. I don’t blame her, I do the same when no one is looking. Peach, you left me without saying goodbye. Even if I was just a fling for pups, I still would have appreciated it, the father of your pups and your friend.

 

~~~~~~~[Ari’s POV]~~~~~~~

 

the sun set so some of the hamsters are probably out! I walked into the room. My mistake, they’re ALL out!

and they all look stressed? “Hey guys?” I waved. Nugget was the only one who acknowledged me, but even him didn’t have his usual cheeriness.

 

Do hamsters not recover from loss? I thought they didn’t care. Maybe they’re just bored, or stressed out over something else. “Uhhhh wait I have a great idea! Let’s let you guys meet eachother!” (I know most hamster owners are like oH nO but… this is fiction, they’re all friends and Ari speaks hamster. So uh… yeah.)

 

all the hamsters perk up at this. I bring in a huge package and open it, it’s a giant playpen so they don’t fight or anything. I set it up and get out the hamsters!
